Recommendations here are computed from tags and counters when the site is built. There is no profile of you behind them.

Similar creators (on a profile). Two creators are related when their posts share tags, weighted so that a rare tag counts for far more than a common one. The score is the cosine similarity of those weighted tag profiles, and the four closest creators are shown.
More from this tag, by other creators (on a tag page). The same weighted comparison, used to pick posts about the same subject from other models.
Related posts (on a post page). The posts sharing the most weighted tags with the one being viewed.
Most popular (on the front page). The posts with the most views and likes, where the numbers are the source platform's counts plus the ones this archive counted itself. Recomputed on every build, so it follows what visitors here actually open.
Search is not a recommender: it returns everything that matches, in the order you ask for.
No account, no browsing history, no watch time, no location, no device fingerprint, no cookies from anyone else, no data bought or borrowed from third parties. The only identifier in the system is the random string used to count a view or a like once, and it never enters a recommendation.
Nothing is inferred about you, and nothing is sold or shared. Two people looking at the same page see the same recommendations.
This is a static archive: it has no session to learn from and no feed chosen for a person. Tags are the one signal that exists for every post, that is visible on the page, and that an operator can correct - which is why they, and not behaviour, drive the suggestions.
Nothing on this site is promoted for money. No creator, link, tag or post can be bought into a recommendation block, and there is no advertising on the site. The link buttons on a profile come from the creator's own public profile or from an edit made by the operator, and they are not ranked at all.
Only material that is in the archive and visible is recommended. A post that an operator has hidden, a tag that has been withdrawn, or a creator who has been removed from tracking cannot appear in any block, and the next build takes them out of the ones already computed.
There are no categories that are excluded from recommendations beyond that, because the archive itself is the catalogue: nothing illegal is published here, and what is not published cannot be suggested.
You are not stuck with the suggestions: search and the tag pages show everything in the archive, sorted the way you ask; favorites are yours alone and live in your browser. The recommendations are not personalised: the same blocks appear for everyone looking at the same page, and there is no "recommended for you" mode because there is nothing to switch off.
Every recommendation block says what it is and how it was ranked, and each block links back to the tag or creator that produced it, so the reason is always one click away.
If a suggestion looks wrong - a creator matched to a subject they have nothing to do with, a tag plainly misapplied - write to abuse@xredgifs.com: tags can be corrected, and corrected tags change the suggestions at the next build.
If a recommender changes in a way that affects what you see, this page is updated with it, and the date at the top changes.
